PROJECT I LOVE SCHOOL HAITI

PROJECT I LOVE SCHOOL HAITI

55% of Haiti's population lives below the international poverty line and less than half of the adult population are able to read. emerge poverty free is investing in education so as to give the most vulnerable children opportunities for the future.

Starting in 2009, emerge poverty free began providing education to the pupils of Good Samaritan School located in Cité Soleil, Haiti. Cité Soleil is an informal settlement, one of the poorest but most populous areas around Port-au-Prince.  One year after the earthquake, emerge poverty free begun the I Love School campaign to help rebuild and support the Good Samaritan School, and four other nearby schools, all destroyed by the earthquake.
